Never been to the GoGo? Here is your sneak peak into this year’s GoGo and how to get involved.
The GoGo is Carondelet Catholic School’s signature (adults only) fundraising event. It started over 15 years ago as a way for our school and parish communities – including parents, friends, alumni and staff – to come together and celebrate our school. Today, the event raises nearly $130,000 to support the invaluable work of providing our children a solid, faith-based education. This year’s proceeds will directly support the operating budget as well as provide much needed updates and enhancements to secure both the upper and lower campuses.
This year’s GoGo will be held on Saturday, February 29th at the Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis. Guests will be able to sign-up for Book-It-Now parties, bid on silent auction items, participate in the wine pull or purchase a raffle ticket for free tuition for a year, etc.. The evening will continue with a sit down dinner followed by a short program and live auction. Then get ready to have some fun with dessert, dancing, friends and fun! Aside from being Carondelet’s largest annual fundraiser, the GoGo is a fun evening to socialize with other Carondelet parents AND there are many ways to be a part of this exciting night!
JOIN THE PARTY! Buy your tickets ($100 individual) or a table ($1,250 for a group of ten) by February 14th. You can also help other members of our community attend by sponsoring a faculty ticket or helping a family in need.
HOST A BOOK-IT-NOW PARTY! Book-It-Now parties, hosted by families and teachers, are mini community building events that are exclusive to the GoGo. What is a Book-It-Now party? You come up with a party idea, plan the event, and cover the costs. You can host a party on your own or with another family. Don’t have an idea, but would still like to host a party? Our team of organizers can help with that! There are all kinds of parties: some for kids or specific grades, they may include families or be for parents only. Examples include: a brew pub crawl, hosting a dinner party or happy hour for parents or a movie night for kids. It’s not surprising why these parties fill up fast! If you would like to host a party or would like more information, please contact the Book-it-Now Team.
DONATE A BOTTLE OF WINE! T he wine pull is back! Please consider donating a bottle or two of your favorite wine. Any type of wine is appreciated, but please make sure each bottle has at least a $15 value. Drop your bottle(s) off at either school office before February 14th.
DONATE LIVE OR SILENT AUCTION ITEMS! The GoGo committee is hard at work procuring items for the auction, but we can always use your help. We are looking for items such as gift certificates to restaurants, retail stores or tickets to sporting or other cultural events. Do you have a connection to an experience that would make a great live auction item? The GoGo committee also accepts cash or checks to purchase items to be auctioned off. If you have any ideas, thoughts or questions, please contact Rachel Horejsi (rachelghorejsi@gmail.com) regarding live auction or Susan Krook (skrook@comcast.net) regarding silent auction.
SPONSORSHIPS! Do you have a connection to or own a business in the community that would help support Carondelet’s mission? Unable to attend the GoGo this year, but want to help? Certain expenses (such as printing) can’t be avoided, but they reduce the amount of GoGo proceeds. Please consider if you, a family member or a friend, work for a company that would be willing to underwrite an auction expense. Please contact Mary Beth Puder (marybethpuder@gmail.com)for questions regarding sponsorships.
Questions? Please contact GoGo co-chairs:
Rachel Horejsi (rachelghorejsi@gmail.com), Mary Beth Puder (marybethpuder@gmail.com) or Susan Krook (skrook@comcast.net).
*Carondelet Catholic School and the GoGo Committee appreciate all auction contributions. Please do not feel obligated to donate to each ask. We have different options to appeal to different families. Thank you for everyone’s generosity to support Carondelet Catholic School.
