On Friday, October 15, Carondelet students and faculty came together in prayer and community for a school organized Day of Service. Following are a few of the service projects each grade completed:
Pre-Kindergarten made placemats for the Sisters of St. Joseph and birthday bags for Waite House.
Grades K and 8: Students did neighborhood clean-up, made hygiene kits for Waite House, and leaf-print cards for homebound parishioners.
Grade 1: Students sowed and harvesting the STA community garden and decorated bags for Waite House.
Grade 2: Students made cards for homebound parishioners, and painted garden rocks (kindness practice).
Grade 3: Students made kindness chalk drawings and wreaths for those struggling with loneliness or mental illness.
Grade 4: Students made rosaries and prayer cards for residents of Mary's place and the sick.
Grade 5: Students made dog and cat toys for the Humane Society.
Grade 6-7 : Students packed meals at Feed My Starving Children.
