The average classroom size at Carondelet is 18-20 students. There are 2-3 classrooms per grade.

What is the admission process?
Applications are now being accepted for the 2023-2024 school year. Enrollment priorities are given in the following order: siblings; parishioners of St. Thomas the Apostle or Christ the King; members of other Catholic parishes; all other applicants. Applications received after the deadline will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, at the discretion of the admissions team.
Do you have to be Catholic to attend Carondelet?
No. Carondelet is a Catholic school dedicated to providing a strong program that teaches and models Christian values. We offer a welcoming community to those of all faiths/belief systems.
Do you offer full-day and half-day kindergarten?
Yes. Kindergarten families are given the option of enrolling in a full-day or half-day program. Students who choose the half-day program will be integrated into the full-day classrooms and dismissed at 12:30 PM. Tuition for half-day and full-day are the same rate.
What are the school hours?
Regular school hours are 9:00 AM-3:50 PM. We also offer before and after school extended care.
Do you offer before and after school care?
Yes. Club Saint is a before and after school program open to registered Carondelet students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. Club Saint is located on the Lower Campus. The hours are 7:30-6 PM.
Do you provide transportation?
Carondelet offers afternoon busing for families who reside within designated areas of South Minneapolis.
Do you have a uniform policy?
Yes. Click here for Carondelet’s Uniform Policy. Students in Pre-K do not wear a uniform.
Do you have a hot lunch program?
Yes. Carondelet offers a daily lunch program that includes a cold lunch, hot lunch and vegetarian option. Milk is also offered to students daily.

What extracurricular activities are available?
Carondelet offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities including an intramural athletic program and a host of other organized clubs including Scouts, Tumbling, French Club, Math Club, Robotics, Karate and Chess Club.
Is Carondelet accredited?
Yes. Carondelet Catholic School is recognized as an accredited Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and by the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA).
