ACCREDITATION Carondelet Catholic School is recognized as an accredited Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis by the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA).

CALENDAR and SCHOOL HOURS Due to busing, the Carondelet Catholic School calendar is the same as the Minneapolis Public Schools. The school hours are:
• 9:55 to 4:10 -- full day Kindergarten through Grade 8
• 9:55 to 12:30 -- AM Kindergarten
TUITION (2008 – 2009 rates)
Full day Kindergarten through Grade 8:
• $3,970 -- Parishioner of Christ the King or St. Thomas the Apostle
• $5,990 -- Non-parishioner
Half day Kindergarten:
• $2,380 -- Parishioner of Christ the King or St. Thomas the Apostle
• $3,590 -- Non-parishioner
A multi-student discount is given to parents of two or more children enrolled at CCS, with the discount increasing per child.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Financial assistance is available to eligible families who are active and contributing members of the parishes of Christ the King or St. Thomas the Apostle.
FAMILY FAIR SHARE FUND RAISING AMOUNT Carondelet Catholic School has three sources of income to cover the cost of educating a child: tuition, parish cash contribution and fund-raising. Approximately 10% of the income is met through fund raising. In order to distribute the annual fund-raising total among all school families, a specific amount (Fair Share) is requested from every family based on the number of children enrolled.
LUNCH Carondelet Catholic School does not have a hot lunch program. Subway sandwiches are served by parent volunteers every Thursday and Pizza is served every Monday.
EXTENDED DAY (Club Saint)
Club Saint, located at the Lower Campus, provides before and after school care for working parents of Carondelet K-4 students. Club Saint provides recreational and creative activities in a safe and comfortable environment.
Parents must register their child/ren annually. Membership days and hours are decided by the parents. Possibilities include before school hours from 7:45 AM - 9:45 AM and after school hours until 6 PM, as well as teacher in-service and compensatory days and some vacation days during the school year.
Fees:
$6/hour for full time members (10 hours or more per week)
$7/hour for part time members (less than 10 hours per week)
$40 per student on release days
$50 annual fee per family if enrolling in one or more sessions of Club Saint.

TRANSPORTATION Busing, within a designated area of Minneapolis, is provided through the Minneapolis Public Schools at no cost to residents of Minneapolis. Residents of other school districts are responsible for the transportation of their children.
POINTS OF INTEREST
A Communications program that integrates reading, writing, speaking and listening. Specialized teachers for Spanish, Music, Band, Physical Education, Art (grades 4-8) and Computer Technology (grades 3-8). Support instruction is available for remedial needs in grades K-2.
Classroom integration of computers (K-8); weekly lab instruction (3-8); Internet access on both campuses.
Extracurricular activities include chess club, fall, winter and spring sports, service opportunities, student council, patrols, band, science, invention & history projects; outdoor education opportunities for students in grades 6 and 7.
Age appropriate prayer services are scheduled monthly throughout the year around seasonal themes including Advent and Lent. In addition to Holy Days, students on the Upper Campus participate in monthly Masses throughout the year.
Club Saint is a before and after school program open to registered CCS students in Grades K through 4.
Active parent groups: Home and School Association, Board of Directors, marketing, development, fund-raisers, lunchroom/playground supervisors, health and teacher aides, Art Masterpiece program, Junior Achievement, coaches for team sports and field trip participants.
